There is a fine balance to be had with 'beer swilling' A great appeal of this level is the club can trade selling beer all game. I wouldnt say there was not a completly innocent party yesterday betweem both sets of fans. What starts as quite humerous exchanges only takes one misunderstood comment and boom. Is it wise to have beer fuelled braintree fans (adults and young adults) right beind the tend goal. Probably not. A learn i suppose. Fair play to Alex for acting quickly. It was also great to see AP giving young fans the chance to meet the winning team in the changing rooms after the game. (Sorry Darran pro AP here!!!!)
The t end move had to happen if only from a viewing perspective. Those who have watched from the now away end will understand that if the sun was out you were not watching much football. Plus we now have a fantastic covered away end!!!!
Onwards to next week cant wait.

Just put a sign in the T-end saying “home supporters only” like Buxton and others do. Away fans can still stand at the side when they’re shooting that way. If they go past the corner flag they obviously have an agenda and can be asked to move. Not foolproof, (as Buxton proved!!), but it can only help.
Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Agree with Adam that the young stewards seemed to do the best job they could. Well done to them. The one thing I would say is that stewards should have been in the T-End since before kick off. I saw AP sorting out the trouble himself for 10 minutes. Maybe also put the bigger and more experienced stewards off the gate in the T-End as that's always going to be the epicenter of any trouble.

They did a fantastic job even if they did stop me (and others!) getting to the Bar for a pint at half time. We're very lucky to have such volunteers, many of them seem to be part of the UDA programme and play for our reserves.

Also ban any pillocks who think going to football is a good excuse for having a scrap. If you can't behave don't bother going.
