It's the second phase attack. Defences should be able to deal with every set piece thrown at them but when the ball comes straight back in they're at sixes and sevens and it's easy pickings for players like Ty.

Ive noticed a lot of matches a lot of teams take short corners to work a different angle and It does Seem to create more chances or free headers compared to Direct corners.

Liam mentioned this on twitter last night alluding to an interview with the Notts County manager. It works for them but it's still not the same. I'm convinced that any well drilled, well coached defendce should never concede direct from a corner or free kick, short or direct. Everyone knows their position, but when it goes out it become completely disorganised and a good ball in will find an attacker exploiting loads of space.

What I meant was the keeper coming and flapping at the ball that one of his defenders was trying to head away, it hit one of his hands and looped out to Hanksy who put in a devastating cross for Ty to head down into the goal, just as the keeper got back to the goal line. If he'd not come for it, or managed to catch it, our corner would have come to nought or the defender would have probably headed it towards halfway and nowhere near Hanksy.

If I remember correctly, at the time I was concerned that new signings weren't being added to the squad list and what effect confidence wise, that would have on any young lad signing for us. I know if I was coming in from Bristol/Birmingham whatever I'd like to see I'm there and valued as a member of the squad to show to my mum and mates and feel part of it all.

That's one of the reasons I try to give the younger lads more coverage on our Instagram, because that's the platform the players themselves use more.

Surely the birds should be on the wings and not in the middle?
