I'd already arranged to travel up tonight, but not hopeful - anyone know of any good museums in Chester?!

The cathedral and the zoo are quite good. There’s also an outlet village called Cheshire Oaks where you can do a bit of Christmas shopping.

If you’re staying up all weekend you could do worse than going to Wrexham’s FA Cup match at home to Yeovil on Sunday.

I’m disappointed to read that Hollyoaks is only set in Chester and not filmed there as well.
