Strengthening the squad
#1

MC said in a recent interview he had tried to get two players in both forwards I believe, he also said both clubs had agreed terms but in one case the player turned us down and he was awaiting an answer on the second player, seemingly another one turned us down?
Problem is strengthening the team in our position won't be easy, our pre season recruitment may well be our downfall but let's hope we can bolster the squad to stay up but it's going to be very tough.

We need a winger like Ceesay to get behind the defence and cause problems. Danny's goal was a perfect example of how simple football can be. Their first goal came that way too.

I thought I heard him say/read that they turned us down because they didn’t want to be involved in a relegation fight

Probably for the best then, we don’t want any gutless players

This is the issue getting the right calibre of players ie better to improve the team who are up for the battle, seemingly no one yet fits that category?

Players who aren't in for a fight are definitely not who we need. They will undoubtedly give up at some point. There have to be guys who are up to the challenge. Here's praying we can find them.

difficulty is now finding players who are better than what we have, match fit and willing to commit to a fight to stay up. they'd probably command a large wage and a transfer fee. It's like a vicious circle.

We've probably got very good players in Josh Smile and Will Richards but they'll take time to get match sharp and in our situation we don't have time to get them upto speed Sad

Given some of the embarrassing comments on Twitter the other week begging McHale to come back I am guessing that he might have been one of them.

They were cringeworthy though and if anything probably put him off!
