.

“distribution” like the Notts Forest keeper, marvelous pass to the Manchester Utd player and then they scored!
Just brilliant!

Sorry but ZJ hasnt got great distribution always, VS Hereford 2 goal kicks went into the side stand and he fell over the ball which Bre had to cover him, I also remember an error VS under Rowe from his distribution.

Let’s be fair if keepers are going to play it out from the back there will always be goals scored against. Keepers mistakes get highlighted as it nearly always leads to a goal. I get the feeling Cook wants someone else so if we do end up with Armstrong it will be his 2nd choice

Great keeper, very happy he's still with us. That save against Chorley was the turning point, he deserves those plaudits.

Personally I hope he rises like a Phoenix between the frames, grabs that No 1 spot as his own and becomes a City goalkeeping legend in the same vein as John Shaw, Matt Bath, Dave Coles, Stewart Martyn, Russell Bowles etc.

Bloody hell, you've got good eyesight!

If there's a flaw in his game then our previous Manager was more than well qualified to see it.

I don’t deny it, but it must have manifested itself in training, because he’s never let us down on a matchday.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Agree with most of the above. Armstrong seems a fine enough keeper to me and hasn't let us down. Is it 3 or successive managers who have decided not to make him #1 now though? Maybe it's his distribution, presence, or vocalness (??) that has held him back?

Either way, I'd be happy to give him a run with the gloves after Jeacock departs. If things start to go wrong, pull someone else in.

Wonder where Zach will end up?

I seem to recollect we had several loan keepers in MC’s first spell in charge.

Harvey Wiles-Richards is due back from injury this month, I expect Bristol City will want to send him out on loan.

Agree with these and of course Kevin Sawyer who made the great save at Farnborough after Matt Rose scored in 2009 to get us where we are today.
Plus as Neil referred to recently Michael Oakes who was possibly our best loan signing ever.

As has been said give Liam a chance and if there is any money in the pot strengthen in midfield or in attack.
