I joked that he'd probably go to Hereford but seeing suggestions that he actually is!

Their fans seemed impressed with him and their current keeper doesn’t exactly look like a finely tuned athlete.

So impressed they abused him and threw missiles at him on Boxing Day.

Even if we did have some spare cash to give to Jeacock I'm not sure its what I would do.  Is he a fine keeper, evidently, and possibly our player of the season so far.  However, I just don't see the point of us using up what little resources we do have, when we have Liam Armstrong available, who to my mind is more than good enough for this level.  If there is any budget at all to spare, bring someone in who will markedly improve what we already have.  Jeacock probably is an upgrade on Armstrong but I don't think he is a significant upgrade!

Spot on. However should he choose to come to us then with no disrespect to Liam I would sign him.

Believe that Jeacock was released so that Birmingham could get an emergency loan as Ruddy is injured

Seems like a bit of a manipulation of the rules.  Hope he did get a decent payout if that is the case.  Would prefer Birmingham to have to given him a chance, but then I guess they are in a relegation battle, and niceties like that go out of the window.  I'd probably be calling it smart business if I were in their shoes!

Exactly my thoughts, RJS.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

The funniest thing is is that the budget will be spent on Liam if it's true that we're told that Zach wasn't be paid as long as he played and we'll now go from paying nothing for a keeper to paying for Liam. It's a funny old game.
