My two pennies' worth now I'm back from officiating on games today:
1) I know the disabled guy referred to about the lack of loo roll, he was a guest there today of the 2 assistant referees and is normally seen at C********m. I had a good chat with him before the game and he said he would come back to MP in future as easy access from his home and the facilities looked good for the level. I've not spoken to him since this incident, and to be honest until DaveAngel mentioned it, I wasn't aware. I'll touch base with him and ask if the club have made an apology as it's absolutely awful to happen to anybody. Don't think he'll back anytime soon as a result. He's also an active disability football referee within the GFA along with a Referees Association Board Member on the digital team so has some reach locally and nationally on social media.
2) I was only at the game as the game I was meant to be refereeing was postponed at lunchtime, wish I hadn't bothered as there was absolutely no desire, drive or pride shown. I had left the T-End for the 2nd half opting to watch alongside Dave and couldn't believe the stream of supporters leaving as the minutes ticked by, even Mr Webb left as the 4th went in. I thought GCAFC had the better of the chances before the 1st goal but then it just fell apart.
My daughter who's come with me to a few games in recent months said she didn't want to bother as they aren't playing well and she'd rather stay at home in the warm. There's got to be an improvement in the want to play with pride and show some respect or those who turn up and support the club through thick and thin long after those players have moved on.

Is it correct that the alarm wasn't working and if so why ?
What if it was a life or death emergency matter ?
Is it a requirement for these alarms to be working properly ?
Are the club breaking the law or rules of the city council ground rules ?
This could have been a really serious moment for the club ,with serious action taken against the club if it had been a real life or death emergency , and only a wet ass , just goes to show how this club has fallen by not supplying toilet rolls ? Just shows me what the club feel about people that comes the turn styles to support this club .

All the negatives about us aside, having watched the highlights, the one thing I would say is South Hields play exactly the kind of football we should be looking to play given we have a 3G pitch. They move it about very well.

Amazing isn't it. You'd think that every footballer deemed good enough to earn a living wage from playing the game would be able to play like that.

I was fortunate enough not to be able to go on Saturday - watching the highlights was painful enough!
I know he wasn't everyone's favourite player but I think Tommy O'Sullivan has been our most missed player this season. He offered so much protection to the back four and although he wasn't the most exciting player to watch he did keep things simple that allowed the defence time to regroup and get back into shape. I don't remember much getting through the middle when he was there either - especially compared to this season. Looking on tigerroar at our results from last season - our terrible run we went on after the initial bounce when King came in coincided with Tommy being out injured and once he came back our results picked up.
I know we've missed the creative spark that someone like McHale offered but I think there is a lot to be said for a defensive midfielder who can keep things calm and tidy.
