Been announced that Jack Charlton, England World Cup Winner, and former Republic of Ireland Manager has died aged 85. Sad News.
  Remember him managing Ireland at the World Cup USA 94, and Italy 1990. Had some good players.

Really sad news. I remember him going absolutely mad at USA 94 when I think Ireland were trying to bring John Aldridge on as a sub and ref wouldn’t let them.

Wasn’t he also on the shredded wheat adverts too? It’s a shame that I was too young to know him as a player.

He seemed a great character and it’s sad that we’ve lost another one of the 66 squad.
