Who would you like to stay...

Assuming we'll be starting next season at step 3, who would you like to stay?
Obviously there will be some we won't be able to keep, for various reasons, namely budget, but who would you like to see stay if at all possible? (I'm not including current loanees)
I'd like to start the season with a core of...

Jared Thompson
Harry Emmett
Spencer Hamilton
Ty Duffus
Louis Mcgrory
Joe Hanks
Harry Pinchard
Josh Smile
Owen Brain
Brandon Smalley
Theo Robinson
Jamie Creed
Harlain Mbayo

I've included a few youngsters that we've not really seen yet, as i think they're worth a go.

Edit. Can’t believe I forgot Smalley!
That’s not far off a squad there! Smile

My question would be - out of the above how many ( if any) are on two year contracts.

Wouldn’t disagree with your list but would hope for an experienced keeper and another two quality forwards.

I've really liked the look of Jared Thompson personally.

Many of us liked Armstrong but the management didn’t. All about opinions I suppose

I'd be more than happy with Liam back too.

Players not currently with us we'd like to sign is another thread waiting to happen!

Cant disagree with that list. Id keep Wright too if we play yhe right way.  With zach gone id be keen to add a permenant keeper.  Enough with the niceness and youthful approach who.look out of their depth. Lets have a winner.  Lets have a nasty bloke who home fans love and away fans cant stand!!!  Pond from Hereford and Taylor from Darlo spring too mind.  Im old enough to remember Mokler!!!

I'd keep Wright too, actually, if he continues playing and his wage demands were sensible.

whatever happens I don't think it would help if we find ourselves in the same position as last year where we started again with a whole new squad.

Danny Wright

Joe Parker and Felix Miles too, if they're still on contract with us. Parker will be fine at that level and Miles has been scoring a few from midfield on loan at Cirencester, who could also find themselves in our league next season.

I don't expect Theo Robinson to with us next season, unfortunately! I imagine him and Reckord will stay at this level.

Haven't seen enough of the following players to make a judgement as I've been unable to make matches thanks to my own footballing Injury:
Owen Brain
Jamie Creed
Harlain Mbayo

Not sure on Pinchard, maybe he'll cope better at a level below but 1 goal all season (so far) is a disappointing return for an attacking midfielder and too often he doesn't release the ball at the right moment.

I don't know. He'll be 35 and maybe ready to step down. I heard last night that we're trying!
