Brings memories flooding back and makes me sad now ,  long time before we get crowds like that  again or the ground as good as the old meadow park ???
Turned off after ten minutes so I can watch in full tonight with a beer or two , so nice  to see the old ground again after all the years of decay and neglect looking just like I remember

Thank yo Tiggermatty 2.. 0

That's fantastic. Thank you for uploading and sharing.
I didn't realise this footage existed. Looking forward to sitting down and watching it properly.

This is excellent. Who's up for some pre-season action vs Górnik Zabrze?

Proper ground, proper crowd. Great stuff.

Or the stuffing we took against Real Oviedo ( why can't we play teams like that pre-season anymore...).

Again, that wasn't videoed. I don't know who would've been responsible for arranging those things back in the day but one one hand it's disappointing that we didn't video more but on the other hand a relief because being spoiled by super HD output these days old VHS transfers look like what Mr Magoo sees in 2024!

True, but some of us would still watch it if it was Gloucester City filmed in 1910 and the film frame rate meant it look as if the players were all running at 100mph and shoulder charges on the goalkeeper were still allowed.

Speaking of which. Are there any videos of Hosky putting the keeper in the net along with the ball? Is it my memory or did he do that several time?

I always remember Chris Townsend leaving a foot in on the keeper when he didn't quite reach a through ball, in the first 10 minutes of every game, just to ensure he gave racing him next time a bit more thought. Smile

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.
