Danny could probably do a job at the level below but possibly not as first choice. A target man who comes off the bench to see out results would be an ideal role. We have sorely lacked pace and agility in the final third so I would expect us to be looking for at least two new strikers.

Ricardo Rees from Merthyr and Callum Ebanks from Stratford, if we could cherry pick the best players from the leagues below who are reasonably local.

There's a wider world out there besides C********m's youth team. I'm going to stop coming here if all we're going to be is a team of their rejects.

Spencer Hamilton, Ty Duffus, Joe Hanks, Danny Wright, Harry Emmett all played the other side of the Golden Valley.

Many of our players from recent years have...Billy Jones, Ed Williams, Harry Williams, Ioan Richards, Danny Andrew, Matt Williams, etc. Not to mention some of our legendary players from decades ago...

Like it or not they're a local EFL team so there's always going to be players who haven't made it there coming to play here.

The only issue with this is how many players over the years have we signed that have been young, signed from a local club at a lower level and then been good enough for us?

Harry Emmett has shown he could be it, but otherwise I’m struggling for many more, who else is there?

And we tried that strategy this season, it’s not worked.

You're right, I don't.

Stratford well on course for the playoffs so he could be on his way up rather than sideways

I think he's very raw, 100% effort but doesn't have the composure of a seasoned player like Reckord.

These are players at the same level we'll be playing at, so a different situation. Harry Emmett came from the league below that.

We're a Southern League club now, and we have to act like one. There's a reason we have the likes of Brain & Barlow with us at the moment - both playing in leagues below the one we'll go into.

Also let's not forget that McHale & Phillips were playing the league below just before they played for us. Ed Williams was at least one league below us before signing permanently too.
