I hadn't realised that he was so seriously hurt.
The family has set up a go fund me site as they're having to travel from Scunthorpe to be with him.

That is sad news. I really didn't realise the seriousness of the poor man's injury amongst the general chaos amongst the Scunny fans that day. Thanks for sharing the link.

33 weeks, he's recovering but still not home. Seemed so innoculous at the time!

Quote:Good news to bring you guys!

On Tuesday, my dad was finally moved out of hospital; a little over 7 months, 33 weeks in total, it comes as a huge relief that dad has taken this major step in his recovery.

Although dad is not home yet, he has definitely moved a step closer to that, he is now in a place to continue and up his rehabilitation.

We are so proud of his recovery, he has shown incredible strength through some very difficult times.

Again, the family would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and support and donations without this dad would not of been able to have the best opportunity at his recovery and we would not of been able to be with his as frequently as we have been, so for that we as a family cannot thank you enough. By no means is this the end of our journey, although is most definitely a positive step in the right direction.
