I've just received the most harrowing of messages telling me that our friend and fellow City fan Gordon Spragg died suddenly last night.

There are no words Sad

Awful news. I can't quite believe it. Such a genuine and generous man. Rest in peace Gordon. Sad

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Awful news. One of the best City supporters ever, and definitely the funniest. No words can do him justice.

I'll miss his dry humour on here and at matches.

Thoughts with his boys and rest of the family.

RIP Gord.

Hello all,

Sadly my Dad passed away suddenly yesterday, needless to say we are all devastated. He first took me and my brother to games at Meadow Park with my Grandad, Ken when we were barely old enough to walk. The club, and everyone around it, meant so much to him. He truly loved Gloucester City with all his heart. He was the best man that you could wish to know and despite making me watch Gloucester City every week, he was the best Dad in the world.

Thank you for the kind words, we will miss him forever but I look forward to being back at Meadow Park soon and enjoying watching City in his memory.

Totally shocked by this. Such an ardent fan and a fixture at games all the time I’ve been following City.

Also remember a good few encounters with Gordon on the field when he played Sunday League football for Chalford.

My thoughts and condolences to his family
