Flooding
#1

Has the club taken any precautions against the chance of flooding tonight , the forecast for 6 pm until 6 am is for four & half inches & with the rivers already very high and the grounds already saturated its more likely that flooding will be around Meadow Park
Not so bothered about the pitch or club house bar but concerned about the changing rooms these being the lowest  place plus offices & kits ect

I see a lot of clubs posting pictures of flooding at their grounds. Presumably a 14 year period in exile for all of them now.

If the Tiger Turf stadium floods I’m heading for Robinswood Hill as the whole of the city will be flooded!

They will be lining up to pay us to use the pitch at NMP.

It will be really slippery up there, be careful.

Appears we got away with it last night and it wasn't as bad as forecast.
Still I think it still looks like it's our weak Linkin our flood defences. May be John or Dave Hammond.could explained how long to get two changing rooms back in to working order if the worse were to happen and possible costs.
Just looking at possibilities regarding the climate changes.

Neil made a good point (I think on X) about AFC Wimbledon getting so many donations for their pitch, imagine if crowdfunding would’ve been around when we got flooded. I think we had a couple of generous clubs, Bath and Frome come to mind, but nothing to the extent that AFC are getting!

Or, you could build it in Wade, NC.  Big Grin
