I've never really encountered this phenomenom, I think they'd probably be in a league of their own!

Do they pay players?

Are they actually based anywhere or are they based where they can find a ground to rent?

They ground share with Aveley but they've always been in the Essex area. Their women's team are in the third tier and currently top of their league.

They have moved around various clubs in Essex. They started at haringey thought then went to Tilbury, bowers & pitsea and then aveley.

They are little more than students having a double games lesson.

Day to day they study, what do our players do day to day? Assuming the answer is work ...

It amazes me that there is a double standard, they play in the pyramid, as well as in the university set up, they will end up leaving the Uni and going to play for other teams just like anyone else leaving their current club.

Are academy players given the same disrespect as they study during the week post secondary school alongside their training, should they not be eligible for the FA Youth Cup?

It's not about the players individually, just the "club" itself. Do they have any supporters?

Hartpury had 256 for their Quarter Final yesterday. The other 3 had 953, 1540, and 2656.

Fwiw my opinion on them is the same as it was for Team Bath when they used to beat us at Twerton Park in the Southern League in front of 0 home fans and 150 away: they are a good team that should be in the universities league.

Their finances, their overheads, their catchment, their funding, and sponsorship is not a comparable model to traditional teams. It's not a level playing field.

Good luck to them, no sour grapes here. But really they should be playing against teams of their own kind.
