Hartpury Uni FC
#31

Some of these comments remind me of the EFL not wanting more Clubs from the National league to join.
What are people frightened of?
Sure Hartbury play at a University campus, does that restrict them to only playing players who are actually at the Uni?
I can’t see that in any rule book.
If the facilities are good enough, the team is good enough why can’t they progress?

We didn’t seem to mind Hartpury when Ricco was a coach for us and we’d get a lot of players from them! Fair play to them, it’s no different to Loughborough entering teams into non-BUCS leagues. If it helps a local College/Uni then brilliant!

At least they’ve started from the bottom and worked up, unlike Milton Keynes.

On that point, if you see the footage from their semi, their pitch is terrible!

You're too young to remember Wimbledon and us giving them our best player for £11k and a friendly. It took four years to get the friendly and they sent their reserves. Up the MK Dons. Down the virtue signalling modern football fans!

If they were playing in the stadium then thats the main rugby pitch which they share so you can understand it's not going to be top quality all the time.

They also have a dedicated football pitch with a small stand as well as the dedicated 4G.

Home advantage for the 2nd leg could pull in a decent crowd if not much else going on locally especially if the 1st leg result leaves all to play for

It's the stadium pitch that they play on, I'm pretty sure that they always use that because I think it's fenced off now and set up to collect revenue on matchdays.

They used to play on the football specific one (which is where we played C********m Town in a BCD game a few years back) but this season they've started using the main stadium the rugby use. Really nice set up to be fair, nice bar and wagons outside for pizza and coffee.

The second leg will be played on Sunday 6 April with 3pm kick off so hopefully local fans will get along to support them in their quest to reach Wembley.

.

Remember the hatred show to Team Bath, a team made up of ex pros, before they were kicked out!

There are no strangers here, only friends you have not met yet!
