Ticket sales - some stats
#1

I’ve spent the past week or so compiling all sorts of data and statistics of ticket sales but I thought I’d share a few with you because it’s actually quite remarkable.
Our average crowd has increased from 918 to 1,066. But more impressively, our home support has increased from 733 to 1,015! Our home support has gone up by 283, and we’ve actually decreased the average age of people buying tickets.
If we took last seasons average away support with this seasons home support, we’d be averaging 1,200!
It’s also the first time since 1996/97 we’ve had 9 1,000+ crowds, and 8 of those have been since Christmas. Our average home support isn’t far off a local side trying to get to the EFL as well!

I wanted to let you know, because off the pitch things feel so much better and even if the the team can’t finish off the job, the club is in a different place now to 12 months ago. Our support is growing, and we’re connecting with the lost generation at last. The foundations of the club are growing strong, and that sort of thing will keep us growing for year after year.

It’s taken a remarkable amount of effort by a lot of people to get to this stage, with so many people going unnoticed and doing countless hours away from the 90 minutes on the pitch.

Even if this year isn’t the year, I have no doubt that brighter things are coming for Gloucester City, the sleeping giant is waking!

If you have addresses of people buying tickets, how many of them don't have a GL postcode? It's interesting to see how many come from far away.

Don’t you just love statistics.

As to far away supporters, like Shrek do they ask ‘Are we there yet’. ??

I managed a very poor 2 games this year from my DE1 postcode.

That's 1 more than the number of Spurs games I managed, but equal to the number of Derby games I saw. Hopefully I'll get to a few more next season

There are lies, damn lies and statistics, 1234?

There are no strangers here, only friends you have not met yet!

14 x Gloucester City (15 will be Wed)
1 x Brentford (shambles really but it's too expensive and kick off times are silly)
1 x MTK Budapest
1 x Puskas Academia

I've done 5 away this season and one home from Sussex. The change in division helps from my perspective.

Will the successful friday match experiment be repeated?

I'm seeing a lot more city shirts/merchandise being worn when I'm out and about in Gloucester. I hardly ever saw anyone wearing anything Gloucester related before we cake home. Lots of kids wearing the shirt as well, which is nice.
