Sounds as if Mike wants to stay:

Sounds it's not clear from the chairman that he wants to keep Mike? As Mike said a quick decision is required to ensure that we keep the core of players and identify who we want sooner rather than later. One concern I have is why we need Cookie and two assistants both of who can't be cheap?

I’d keep him, one of the successes this season has been continuity .
Major close season upheavals never do the Club any good and we’ve only just missed out on promotion.
Mr Taylor it’s over to you.

He got us to the Play-Off Final, and we didn't exactly get hammered in it or look like we shouldn't have been there, although if truth be told it was a bit of a dull game. If we can get a decent forward in next season, and tighten up our defence then I think we can go up as champions. We had a large amount of draws this season, if we could have scraped some wins out of them then perhaps we could have been where Merthyr are. That aside, who could we realistically bring in that would do a better job? I suppose Tim Harris is free xD

We will never win the league if Cook stays. I said it before the season started and in the end we finished 14 points from the top. He had his chance to keep us up and he got nowhere near and he had his chance to get us promoted and whilst we got close that was only via the play-offs. We hadn't long dropped out of the title race.

I agree a quick decision is needed as clubs are already working on plans for next season and with the doubt about if he's staying Cook can't even start to work on next season.

We are an attractive proposition for managers at the moment. We have a decent budget to work with and we have just been beaten in a play-off final and we will be in a position to be going for promotion again next season. For the money he's on I think we can do better.

Don't know exactly, but from what I've been told it is a lot for someone who is part time. He was put on a contract until the end of the season when he signed so I suspect one of the reasons he wasn't sacked is because paying him off would have been another expense.

I have to agree with this . I’m in the keep Cook camp personally and a decision has to be made very soon. I do though question the need for both McGregor and Brough . Brough appears just to verbal players on the pitch hence Ed Williams’s retort.  Whatever happens our opinions on here will have no bearing whatsoever.

Why would a club sack a manager who has taken the club to the promotion playoffs? Seems strange to me. Especially given the state of the club when he came in.

When the aim last year was to stay up and we didn’t get close, and the aim this year was top 3 with promotion and we didn’t do that either then a conversation has to be had.

Add to that our supporters have spent most of the season talking about how boring we’ve been to watch with an expensive squad, and I can understand why people want him out. I also understand why people would want him to stay.
