All the best Cookie, it wasn’t meant to be and ultimately I think this is the right decision. Mike’s a lovely bloke and I’ve enjoyed chatting to him, and he’s given us some good moments and memories over his two spells.

I note that the new appointment is expected at Meadow Park within 24 hours, I’m impressed by our swift action on this, means we can already look forward to the summer and new campaign.

Pretty much my thoughts too. The frustration has been growing, it's time to move on. We're moving quickly, let's keep it up and get ready for the new season with a fresh outlook.

Thanking Mike Cook for his efforts at the Club. Thought he had done well in his two managerial spells at the Club. Was also number two to Chris Burns, when he was player manager. 
 When we played at Evesham, I stopped off at Starbucks, Ashchurch. Mike Cook and Andy Hoskins were in there. Spoke to Mike briefly, seemed a nice person.

If true, I've not seen anything official from the Club, I get no pleasure from the news.  Nobody would have wanted that promotion more than Mike and under his stewardship we very nearly won the prize.  His words of thanks and encouragement to this very junior volunteer were always much appreciated.  Going back in time, those days back in Southport and Woking were very special. Whatever the future holds I wish him well and thank him for his endeavours.

Perhaps though now is the time for a change and we wait with anticipation to see who the new manager will be. They will inherit a Club not without its fair share of challenges, but also one on the up and looking forwards positively.

Has not done very well at Newport as caretaker manager, but maybe he has been recommend by Dawson for example, Mansell maybe his number 2....
