Cook has left the building

A thoroughly decent bloke who steadied the ship in the post AP/Chambers fallout. He assembled the core of a good team but ultimately fell short. I agree it's time for a change and good that it's been done early doors.

I don't think saying in an interview a few days before a play off final that it would be too soon to go up was a particularly good look, however true it may have been.

The fact that the attendances have been so good and off the field the club is really taking shape made the board think Next year we can really go for It.

All the BEST MC, Done a good job overall in his varios spells at the club.

Im reliably informed that Newport should really have been relegated given their squad so he was always facing a tough job there.

James Rowe maybe?

He'd never come back because the level is below him, I think he'd only want to work with a higher calibre of player plus he got dogs abuse when he returned with Flybe.

Well The Chairman did say
"Stick with us good times are coming"

Going to be an interesting few weeks I suspect.

It’s true

Spoke to someone on holiday in America who confirms the news.

Trouble is people hear it via a member of the press through leaks which I personally think is disrespectful not only to those involved but importantly those who support the Club. The only A press release should have been authorised and until agreed its publication kept stum. Didn’t want to say embargo….. had enough trouble with that word today ?

And if it’s true MC was out of contract he wasn’t sacked because his period of employment was concluded.

We've had nice people, I personally don't care as long as we go up and up. Rowe is a wrong un but we've had nice people since. So I personally don't care as long as good times are back as Colin says. It won't be Rowe, I'm not sure Daf is the way forward but time will tell.

I can only wish him all the best and thank him for his efforts. It did feel about 5/6 games out that something had changed and that his future was becoming uncertain. He does seem like a thoroughly decent bloke, and personally I find it much easier to support someone like that, rather than one of the sh*ts. Ultimately he gave it a good go, but we're not quite there yet.
Now Colin has a chance to strategically change our approach on the field by getting his own man. Whoever that is I hope they're put in place imminently. There must be a plan already.
I'm with the above on Daff. His results at Newport aren't great but maybe there are reasons. I like to think we can go for the title next year and avoid, though memorable, the lucky dip of the playoffs. It's never dull at City......

Totally agree. Will players who have promised their allegiance for the forthcoming season still come without MC?

The only positive I can see is that is been decided early allowing the incoming manager to start building a squad.

Thanks MC all the best.
