Similar to Neil’s Solihull thread - league 1 Barnsley have issued their retained list. They had a staggering 54 players on the books of which 32 are staying and 22 released. I cannot imagine what the wage bill was plus all the backroom staff.

Hoping Argyle might pick up Sam Cosgrove as he'd fit perfectly into Miron Muslic's set up and had a decent spell on loan with us from Birmingham during our League One champions campaign.

I'm pretty sure that this is commonplace through the leagues, I've always said that there are too many footballers, just 1012 are needed to start games for every league club on any given weekend but there are probably 5000 professionals among the 92 clubs alone. Madness.
