Gloucester City v C********m Town
#1

This Sunday is the first ever meeting between our respective first teams - would be great to get a crowd down the KMM!

The bar will be open, Mike will be serving food, and season ticket holders get in for free.

An interesting post on the Robin's Nest saying they want to make the game feel like a home game for C********m and remind us who runs Gloucestershire!

This will be a tough gig for the tigresses, the gap between the leagues might only be 2 divisions but the standard is miles apart. Although I would expect to see some development players in their team, they are very good players as well.

I'll be at Lodge Road.

Good luck City!!!!

Bloody hell, you've got good eyesight!

Their Development team only just beat our Reserve team with a last minute goal earlier in the season, and C********m Town's first team have lost some of their best players in recent weeks - looks like they've been struggling to fill their bench.

Also, their Development team also have a game tomorrow!

So all in all, I'm expecting C********m to be playing their best team - which of course will be a challenge for us!

Narrow defeat for the Women, which is impressive considering the opposition are two leagues higher and played their strongest team and we had several key players out injured.

Many there?

Did C********m “Make it feel like a home game” ?

About 150 which is quite good considering how miserable the weather was. If we were playing that game on a sunny day in April I'm sure we'd have got double that.

I must say, it was one of the best coached games I've seen from a City side. You really wouldn't have known there was 2 divisions between the sides.
City's game plan was to sit back and try and hit C********m on the counter, but in the first half as much as C********m had about 99% of the ball, they didn't really do anything with it. City's defence was absolutely superb, every single player did their job faultlessly and the team work was the best I've seen from them. Going forward was a bit wayward, and with a little more composure would've had some very good chances.
Then at the start of the second half a City free resulted in a cracking shot off the crossbar from Maggie Neal and it was 1-0 City. Unfortunately C********m's first goal came from the only defensive mistake, and at 1-1 it became a pretty even game.
The game ended 3-2 which is an incredibly respectful score line in front of a crowd of slightly under 150. Well done to all involved.
