Good Luck GCAFC in the First Home league game at New Meadow Park. Hope you can get rid of last Saturdays result, by putting in a good performance for the first competitive game back at Gloucester. It seems that part of the Club is back at Gloucester, New Ground, Staff and Players. All we need now is the supporters to complete the jigsaw.
Would have been interesting to know what size crowd this game would have attracted in normal circumstances. If this was a Tuesday night game, in August. Kettering might have brought a few supporters with them. Maybe a crowd of 800 odd?

Can't see a match thread. Won 3-1, scored goals at good times and theirs was the epitome of a consolation goal, last kick of the game.

Lovely curling shot with the outside of the right boot by Whiits, back heel kind of effort by McClure and tidy flicked header by Khaellem to seal the win.

They had a man sent off for two quick yellows and will feel hard done by throughout by the referee and in fairness didn't look like they were a man short.

I love it.

Great result for the first team, opening up New Meadow Parks League fixtures in style. Paying up as having Alex Whittle to score a goal, £3,00, and a New Meadow Park WIN, £5,00. Dont mind paying so long as we can have results like this.
Khaillen - Bailey could be a secret weapon this season. Could maybe be a good impact player  coming off the bench.

Most of us have put stuff in the streaming thread. It wasn't two quick yellows the bloke who was sent off had been booked about 15 minutes before. Probably a bit harsh he booked him for kicking the ball away but apparently he was booked for racist remarks in the first place.

A very, very good performance tonight. The first half an hour were possibly the best I've ever seen us play, and even then for the rest of the match we had glimpses of looking like a league side. Kettering were no mugs, and the ref was quite harsh towards Kettering on some occasions.

Second half we didn't get out of second gear but we didn't need to and still bossed it. That was a very professional performance. Every player put in a shift, they could all get mentions in some way.

Well I haven’t seen such a polished performance from a City team in many a year, KETTERING couldn’t match our skill, pace and direct style of play, they appealed for any contact made to a card happy ref Who in fairness didn’t have the best of games.
Whilst MOM went to Fabien Robert, the three centre backs of Gunning, Daly and Morgan never missed a trick with Gunning outstanding, JT and Fabien ran midfield with Whittle and Carline causing havoc up and down the wings and Dawson looking comfortable on the ball.
Yes I know only one game, three points but enjoyed it .
Our young keeper looked assured, was vocal , impeccable handling on a wet surface.
Welcome back to Gloucester ???
