As a cheaper back up option yes.

The only reason that Joe Parker managed to stay with us as long as he did was because he was a local lad and came from the youth team. If he wasn’t local he’d have been released a very, very long time ago. He never seemed to kick on once he came back from Newport, the odd flash every few games but he’s certainly not the answer.

Spot on.

Nice bloke, but absolutely no surprise he hasn't cut it at Leamington. He needs to drop down 2 levels if he wants to start scoring goals. And to not pull out of every 50/50.

I think that's true with Joe lots of ability but never stepped up to mans football. Defenders soon sussed Joe out one hard tackle early on in the game and his game was over.

It's a shame, that first game of the season many years ago at Salford when he came on and capitalised on a mistake in their defence, outpacing a load of their defenders and slotting the ball calmly past their keeper was the Parker we hoped to see from youth football days. Think it was a combination of confidence and perhaps being out wide that didn't help. But I agree with others, he needs to find his form again a League or two down.

When this thread was posted and the comments since, was it with the expectation that something might be happening soonish?
Alex has previously mentioned the transfer window so that is very much looking upwards not at out level or even league above.

I think that it’s more the fact that we have seen three outgoing players and 2 players going in for surgery. This leaves us very thin on the ground ahead of a three/four week run of games which could define our season.

As far as I’m aware the “transfer window” ie January does not apply at our level or the National League.
