Out of interest, why do you call him Palmer, Hughes?

It sounds very rude. Smile

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Is there nothing we can do about this?

Was pleased to hear Alex say that Chesterfield behaved so well in all of their negotiations when appointing James as manager.

But what is the point of coming to an agreement that they won't take any more of our players if they then just take them for free after they have decided not to play for us anymore.

Rather than the previous agreement being some kind of honourable thing, all they have done is go on to unsettle our club and get quality players without having to pay a fee. Can't any of the Chesterfield people who behaved well in the negotiations see how badly their club is behaving now?

Very disappointing all round. Whittle is a great player and I've loved watching him in a City shirt and sorry to see him go. But if these players don't want to be here, then they may as well go.

The problem for me is, anyone of any calibre that signs now I'm going to take their messages of 'buying into the project' etc. with a pinch of salt. I honestly thought all of these great players we signed would at least see out the campaign, especially as we are top of the league.

We've got a tough job to replace everyone now at this time of the season, must be very unsettling for the squad. Hopefully we can replace them all and finish what's been started!

Regardless of players ability, if they don't want to be here it's pointless letting issues run it's course. We all know these issues have been exacerbated by previous personnel.

It reflects badly on Chesterfield but frankly unless there's proof that they have broken legal agreements I suggest they won't give a flying you know what, nor will the player.

Karma has a way of sorting things out. For now I think we move forwards with a calm, reasoned man and men at the helm of this club and let the drama huggers and narcissists move on to Derbyshire.

Matt the only problem with your third paragraph is that if you insist they stay and honour their contracts but don't want to play they sit in the stand getting paid regardless. Might as well off load them and free up the wages.

He's JP normally - just call him JP.
