Can't believe it is 18 years ago that we won at Woking in the FA Trophy. Did not go to this game, bought the video. Also missed the Southport away match. Between these two matches, which was the more memorable one? GCAFC being a Dr Martens Western Division Club at the time. To win at two Conference Clubs (2 leagues above) was a fantastic achievement.
This team built by Chris Burns seemed to be the start of something special. The nucleus of the GCAFC Youth Team, Tom Webb, Lee Smith, Neil Griffiths, Dave Wilkinson. Plus the additions of Matt Bath, Andy Hoskins and Jimmy Cox.
Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.
Danny ANDREW, Jake ANDREWS.

Southport possibly my best ever City game. That was a hell of a night and performance although I wasn't at Woking.

Amazing what you can forget about a match. Webby could have (maybe, should have) had a hat-trick, but had to be satisfied with his first goal for City.
I do remember Adie seemingly taking forever to put the ball in the net and hugging Trev when it went in!

Southport was the best City game I've been to.
Going a goal down early on away from home and against a team much higher than us should have been the end. But to come back in the way we did and thoroughly deserve the victory was a really special achievement.
I don't think I've ever been at a game where there was just so much sheer joy amongst the travelling fans especially when the last goal went in.

Neil, do you mind if this is re-packaged and put onto the official youtube account?
