Yes. He was a unit.
I forgot my boots today so couldn't go on the pitch so I tried a bit of video, I got our goal. Not sure I want to stand up on top of that shipping container, it's a bit giddly wobbly up there.

Well what did we learn today - albeit I don’t agree with your last sentence Neil- the midfield of Evans Fabian and Dawson against Coventry were brilliant and brought MMc and Jordan Young into the game. That was missing today against a decent HH side. That’s what pre season games are for. Surprised to see Leon Clarke in the line up ( pleasantly surprised) . My motm was Dan Leadbitter - outstanding and he scored.
I liked HH goal scorer young Noel-Williams when he played for us under Mike Cook. Could do with him alongside MMc. He was a real handful.
Unbeaten in pre season- does it mean anything- time will tell.

Agree re. Leadbitter that’s his best position I think. We’ve got two very good right backs. I wonder if one of them can play on the left

Hemel was a proper test and Dejon was a handful throughout with his pressing. I thought we missed Tommy. Disappointed that Vinnie didn't take the opportunity to impress.

TM i agree your last sentence “left back position still vacant imo” is correct - luv Vinnie and Noah but ….. no place for sentiment sadly.

Nice header by Clarke
I've just seen a clip of Vinny tracking back. He's rapid.
It must be difficult, he's been here there and everywhere during pre-season. He ain't getting a league club now if their season has started. We'll have him. He'll come good over the course of the season.

A good preseason campaign from Gloucester. No defeats, good for team morale. I know you can't always go by preseason results. Hopefully they can take this form into the league.
Two tough games to start, Southport away and York City at home.
Was surprised about Noah Smerdon, I thought he was a cert to be with us. Paul Groves obviously feels he is not quite right, and has other ideas.
Vincent Harper on trial today, thought he looked alright when he was last with us. When he was with us previously, thought he did well with Joe Parker in front.
Liked Dejon Noel Williams when he was with us in the National League South. Thought him and Jake Jackson looked a good partnership.
Good Luck GCAFC for the 2021/22 National League North season.
Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.
Danny ANDREW, Jake ANDREWS.

Not a good day for city today, looked out of sorts . Played quite well first half with Dan Leadbitter looking the best man on the pitch. Don't know what happened second period city fell apart and Hemel just outplayed us with dejon giving our two centre backs an uncomfortable afternoon I don't know if PG learned anything from that game but he hasn't much time now to get his first team sorted.

Disappointing day at the office today. Played reasonably well first half with only half a first team starting.
Changes made at halftime seemed to totally disrupt us, improved slightly after Fab came on, but lucky not to lose in my opinion.
Jake's understudy looked okay, LC seemed to be much better than last week. Most of the trialists appeared not to be up to standard.
Will have to do much better than today against Southport next Saturday and home to York the following week.
