I do find it strange that last season we seemed to have signed some big waged players who have moved on for big money, but replacements just haven't happened? We've had 2 crowds of 2k and still no sign of decent replacements. I trust you AP, but we need players sooner rather than later.

Daly has had his contract cancelled at Stourbridge today and their fans are delighted! Doesn't sound like he's the answer to our problems at the moment.

Sometimes it doesn’t click for players at different clubs. How many have we had that disappointed but have then gone on to perform well at other clubs. He did well for us, so I’d say he’s worth a risk on a pay per play basis. No one else is available so what do we have to lose?

Players don't go bad overnight Darren. Also they fail to settle etc....

I agree, he hasn't become a bad player in the space of 12 months, not saying give him a long term contract, but what he could offer in terms of leadership and simply heading the ball could be a big plus right now,Shame JJ not fit ,we could have and Daly and Leadbitter at CB, could compliment each other,,,,ok chuck in Whittle at LB and we're sorted, not that difficult this manager lark.

But you know we lost £311k last season yea … and yes we had two great crowds … which funded August and part of pre-season … but that’s it … we’ve stood still … not lost money in pre-season and August … so we’ve still lost £311k …

How big was our back room staff last season … zero, zero cost us nothing … vs this season, which isn’t zero …

How managers spend budgets is up to them … 100% up to them.

Let’s get some players back … and see what happens …

No one has yet been relegated or promoted for that matter in September …

AP

Let’s also timeline the players that left … they left before null and void … before we had our massive losses … just think how big the losses could have been if we didn’t act fast … letting players go to reduce costs … or allowing them to go when we felt null and void was more likely …

Budget wise we’re a big hitter and not yet preforming … my thoughts are very clear on the matter with everyone at the club. We’ve made subtle changes behind the scenes since last Saturday … adding a new layer for recruitment, changing scouts etc etc …

Let’s just see …

I think in the case of Daly that yes he might have got bad overnight. Don't forget how old he is now. Stourbridge have been shocking so far this season and I suspect they have the biggest budget in the division. He was playing for a manger who he has thrived under before so that shouldn't have been an issue. They have been conceding goals for fun and the responses on Twitter suggest he was poor as a captain and very quiet. I just don't think he is the answer anymore.

So basically Rowe had no back room staff and spent all the budget on the players whereas Groves has the backroom staff and put some on the budget on that.

Too late now to register anyone for tomorrow, so the lads available will have to work hard for each other & get stuck in.
Nice for youngsters to see a pathway to the first team too.

Correct … same budget … just spent differently …

Adding anyone even a no 5 would put us technically over …

We’ve had great crowds … but please don’t think they all paid either … our whole academy get in for free … plus the 21’s, 23’s, women’s …

I hope you don't mind asking the question but would consistent crowds of 2k mean the budget could increase? Please don't take this as me expecting you to spend more money. Personally I'd be pretty damn circumspect after losing 311k and I certainly wouldn't be going spend crazy just because the crowds for the first two games were good, we need to see if its sustainable first. Just interested where 2k crowds regularly would put us financially. Also feel free to ignore this a lot of chairman would tbf.
