Master stroke by Alex to interduce our new striker before kickoff every one made him feel at home and gave the place a real buzz.

Absolutely agree with all the comments. What a vast contrast to just a few years ago. The sun shining on New Meadow Park is a sight to behold. The visiting Board members from Bradford were a delight and were extremely complimentary. Mim and I have settled into our 10 till 6 shift for a home game and a small band of us oldies prepare the ground and changing rooms for yet another onslaught, after all the ground is used 24/7 now. Every penny saved by volunteers is a bonus to the Club. By 6 o’clock the outer stadium is back to prestige and a big thank you to the supporters who help with the litter pick up following the game. I know it is much appreciated. After all we now have a ground that we should all be proud of. Definite shoots of recovery yesterday and a buzz about the place.
Don’t forget if you feel you have a spare morning there is always a task up for grabs. Even with a 3G pitch the incoming plant life needs to be controlled.

Unsung heroes. We hung around after and there were people going around with bin liners. I saw Bill down there the other week when I was doing player photos sweeping up. Thing is though, when I'm sat near the goal during a game, I can see empty beer cups just been dropped onto the pitch. Why do people do that? Uncouth wankers.

Yep. Bill’s one of us. Keeps the T end tidy. Even gets rid of the cobwebs with a feather duster. Good on you Bill.
