He seems to have garnered a reputation there of being a bit too nice, and only having one game plan.
There was se statements from his ex players saying that "John always had a plan A ,B,C and D if we were up against it during a game" Like Darran said pretty impressive what he did at Maccasfield with slow budget.

Blimey never a good time to have a bad season but with only one down this is it, what a disaster if it was us.

I did read reborn Bury are looking to get one of those places as the league is expanded, I can see a few very angry clubs who could go up including the one relegated to fight that if they get dropped into the NLN!

They can be angry all they want but isn't it a case of having to accept ex-league clubs to protect their promotion places to the league?

Watson & York part company after fighting on the terraces (not suggesting he was throwing anything other than the towel)

Looks like there's unrest at Chester too....

"CLUB STATEMENT | BOSTON UNITED (H)
Sunday 14 November 2021 Club Statement Chester FC
Following an investigation into alleged offensive and unacceptable comments during our match with Boston United on 6th November, Chester Football Club can confirm two individuals have received a banning order and warning as to their future behaviour once they are permitted to return to the Deva Stadium."

The statement omits to mention that the target of the Chester supporters' comments appears to have been their own manager Antony Johnston, despite being 4-0 up!
