Berkhamsted H 21/10/25

Someone keeps restarting the streams, probably trying to get the audio working. It's not.

Still not sure why we couldn't just have tigers radio on as a back up, I assume the commentary would have been the same anyway?

A game changed by the red card, which I’ve seen back and is extremely soft - but Ed shouldn’t have even given the referee the chance to make a decision. We were fine at that point and with 11 men we’d have easily seen off a quite limited Berkhamsted side (lovely strike for the second goal mind you). Ed’s been fantastic so far this season but that one’s cost us a bit today sadly.

Of course Walton had to get their winner at the same time as well, could potentially be framed as a bit of a sliding doors moment but it is only October and a lot of football still to be played.

Another good crowd and on a midweek night too. We’d have killed for over 700 on a Saturday back at the end of the old Meadow Park days.

We were once again superb at times especially first half when they offered nothing. We resumed with most of our team behind the ball and our coasting at 2-0 becomes 2-2 under siege,
I defy anyone to say they have seen a finer individual goal from Dylan Jones best viewed on the highlights- absolutely brilliant.
Normally we make a few changes to see us out but imo today it cost us. I like BM ( came on for HE) and had a good start to the season but what was he doing when he allowed them a free shot on goal. - thankfully he missed, imo he was poor.

We are not going to win every game as there are some good sides in our league but playing like that especially first half we won’t be far off.

At 2-0 up i was happy would we still see the game out even with the 10 men.

But as soon  as we sacrificed a midfielder to bring on an additional defender, we looked like we would struggle to get anything out of the game.

Still concede soft goals, and we look so vulnerable defending set pieces oh for a goal keeper who commands his area.

Holding Judgement on Jarrods performance until I see the highlights , but at first glance he looked at fault for goals 1 and 3

So based on the first 50 mins definitely 2 points dropped, but based on the last 40 mins id say we were lucky to get a point.

Also looks like were down to 13 available first team players for Sat with Ed's suspension

A crazy game and as previously stated the sending off of Ed was the turning point of the game.
Three wonderful goals by City against a team that offered nothing.
A draw seems like a defeat after the way we played especially being down to ten men for much of the second half.
Decent crowd.
Still only October.

What a disappointing result, particularly with W&H winning in added time.

One moment of madness by EW cost us a win today. Not only that, he will also miss three games.

We’re now four points behind W&H with a worse GD. We will need to take six points off them if we want to win the league.

Agree with the above. I find it hard to blame Ed though as it looks like the kind of shove you see 100 times a season. Interesting to see if we appeal it.

I do agree that going continually more defensive has cost us m, with hindsight. We still looked dangerous until we went to 5 at the back. From then on they attacked us non stop.

We nearly held out, but somehow our 3 central defending giants conspired to concede off 2 corners. Shouldn't be happening.

Not an awful result, but if we had 1 or 2 more players on the bench, we'd have won today.

Bossed the first half but didn't capitalise properly. Need to try and put these games to bed whilst on top. Still, one more point towards hopefully a league winning total ?

What were the winning prize draw ticket numbers? Dave promised me some winners ??

Thank you also to the group of Harriet students who are now helping in various volunteering roles - turnstiles and litter picking with more jobs to follow. Genuinely great to have their support! Thank you

Hartpury! No idea who Harriet is ?
