Common sense decision however as others have said give the ref the opportunity and a red it could be. I thought it was barely a yellow but arms were raised.

Was It a straight red? Thought It was a second yellow, the other Guy stamped on him first , should have been red.

How often the perpetrator gets away with it, and the one who retaliates gets punished?

It was a straight red, you cannot appeal a yellow as far as I am aware!

Its clever from their player, the red Will only be looking at eye level so wont see the stamps , especially with so many players in between.

Got nothing from the ref at first, then he must have got fed up with their fouling and winging and started handing out cards to them, five or six yellows and a red, I think!

Nice result in the end though!
