Storm Eunice's
#1

Looks like it's going to be a real storm  blowing tonight and tomorrow morning ? might be Worth winding the flood lights
down ,just to be on the safe side .?
The storm from Tuesday and Wednesday was not as strong as Eunice is going to be and that one brought down to a
couple of wind turbines down in south Wales yesterday ..If one or more of the flood lights or pylons are damaged it's going to cost the club money ,plus the game tomorrow I would think would have to be postponed .,seems prudent to be safe rather then sorry ? If you can lesson the risk of damage ? Do it .It happend to Boston's new lights last year ????

Sorry not tomorrow but Saturday.

Can't imagine a lot of training taking place if the storm prediction is correct. The Severn estuary will be affected. Not indicated the river will rise as high up as Gloucester, but might be a test of the stadium's flood defences...

Hope fully the Severn won't flood up to Hempstead and make it difficult for fans to get in or too the ground ?Still blowing a gale round our way , so hope there's no storm damage to the ground??? Huh. Huh

Flood warning was "severe" yesterday but seems to have been downgraded to just a "flood warning" now. It was feared that the peak of the strong winds would occur at high tide but looks like the storm came in a tad later than expected hence the slightly more optimistic picture.

You can follow it here; https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.u...,51.863546

The flood warning comfortably covers Meadow Park but fingers crossed we will have no issues tomorrow.

Would not be so bad if we were playing Hereford FC at home. Darlington making the long trip, are they making part of the journey today, or are they doing the whole journey tomorrow?
