FA Trophy Draw

Well that was more like it. 274 ish saw City get a well deserved 3-0 win. The wind deffinetly played a part in deciding the quality on show and was arguably on our side in the first half, which saw us go in two up at half time with another brace from Hulbert. We were well worth the lead. Second half Gerring was sent off very early on. Not sure why, I was queueing for chips and totally missed it. We soon scored a third from Sheaf, who was later named man of the match. Much of the action in the second half was at the away end, where considering we were down to 10 men we admirably defended. Holding onto a lead and keeping a clean sheet can only be good for confidence going forward. The team were applauded off though Gerring came from the bench and possibly got involved in something silly. Perhaps others had a better view and can add to that. Left the ground cold but happy.

What a win and performance.

Defensively we were excellent, blocking virtually every shot they had and didn’t really give them a sight on goal.

Not much else you can really say about Hulbert. What a player he is.

I think that is the best I’ve seen Sheaf play all season but I think Dawson sneaked the MOTM for me.

No idea what the red card was for but thought Harrison was excellent when he come on

Let’s hope the Kidderminster game is the final wake up call to kick start the season.

We thoroughly deserved that win - Hulbert on fire - Dawson’s pass for his second goal the pass of the season so far brilliant.
Despite a red card we went on and scored a third against a Kettering side who had rolled us over a few weeks ago.

LM should be justifiably proud. Well done from number 1 to 11.

Today showed that you don't have to dominate to win comfortably. Can't believe the crowd was that low!

Well I enjoyed that at a bitter NMP, all eleven should be proud of the performance, Hulbert outstanding, Kevin Dawson’s sublime pass for our second as good as I have seen at NMP.
Never saw the Gerring red card, well pleased for Sheaf having been critical of him previously.
Don’t read too much into the match attendance …….
