Dr Bob I agree - to sum it up in one word awful.

All well and good people banging on about having a big squad - I will repeat myself from another thread - we do not have enough quality.

The first 5 mins they tore us apart as though we had never played together before - embarrassing.

Two guilt edge chances both fell to the player u would want them to fall too - both missed.

Rant over.

Thought I was watching a Paul Groves team. As bad as the start of last season. Hopefully a blip. On that performance I expect a bank holiday drubbing by Hereford.

And George Carline. Hope the saying of have a Good pre season, have a Bad season doesn't come up again.

Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.
 Danny ANDREW, Jake ANDREWS.

We'll play them off the park. You'll see!

However much I get frustrated with Dawson sometimes, that match showed how important he is to us. We just looked so lethargic without him.

I have a bugbear about playing people out of position, and Ben Morgan is solely a centra defender imho. So let’s not play him at defensive midfield or up front. I worry sometimes that LM is possibly more comfortable setting his teams up to defend than to attack. There were echoes of last season today.

Poor old Ben played in three positions and didn't stand out in any of them!

Pretty much sums it up -  12 months ago we put in a similar performance at home to Kettering and today wasn’t much better. Expected a lot more from these players.

I wasnt confident at all going into the game.
That was really poor. We literally played into their hands all day. Brackley didnt have to get out of 2nd gear to win. The penalty miss summed up the day. Another poor crowd which will only get worse after today's performance.

I don’t understand why we’ve started the season without bringing in a solid DCM, we’ve had to play Ben Morgan there twice now and we’re only 5 games in.

I guess if this patchy form continues long term we’ve always got the carrot that you only need to finish 7th to get into the playoffs, so knocking around mid table and then a late run might do. That being said, a few more performances like today and we can worry that 4 go down.
