Seeing Chris Townsend again made me think of this thread and over my 50yrs + of following City imo there haven’t been many.
Top of my list is Kim Casey (84/5 season) 36 in 45 games a real poacher like:-
Dale Watkins (96/7 season) 35 in 51 games
Towner in a couple of spells (88-92) 66 in 85.
Akwasi Asante (20/21) 8 in 10.
Can anyone think of any more.

Andy Mainwearing- 26 in 49 appearances, remember him scoring a hat trick in an excellent game when it was pouring with rain and knee slid towards the T-END.
Ollie Hulbert.

I remember us signing him from AP Leamington where he was also prolific not sure about going on strike though but remember he didn't go down into the Midland division. It was a shock to go down as he should have fired us into the top half at least......

I'm aware of a story that he refused to play the second year of his contract because we'd been relegated and forced a move.

Hosky would deserve extra style marks as some of his goals were a long way out. Too knackered to run apparently so just lashed them in
